I’ve realized that Flattr hasn’t quite crossed the Atlantic yet, nor captured lots of people writing about sex, polyamory, sexuality and so forth. I’m aware it’s still just in closed Beta, but basically all people signing up seem to be given an invite, and people with active accounts get 3. So it will spread.
Quickly after having told you guys what Flattr is I had gotten flattrd. It has been a little over 2 days since I got the account up and actively running, and I’m surprised what effect it had on traffic to the site, and the actual flattring of posts and the blog it self.
Biggest problem I find right now that all the amazing people I want to flattr aren’t available for it. I’ve tried poking individual people to offer them invites, I’ve tried just calling it out on twitter and posting about it a lot on twitter. I started to feel like a spam bot! New approach;
Coy Pink, girl some of the things you write, especially this, makes my head spin and pictures taken of you are incredibly beautiful.
Femme Fagette, the description of your self on your blog “A multigendered fat queer switch exploring gender, sexuality, and the pitfalls of an overanalytic nature” is worth flattry all on its own.
Mollena, you’ve made me laugh incredibly hard alot of times since I started exploring this part of the internet, you welcomed me on twitter and for that alone you deserve love. You deserve flattry for the amazing way you open yourself up for the rest of the world to peek inside and maybe find that you explain something of us we had not yet understood for ourselves.
Poly Weekly, Minx I know you need a bit of extra tip for your trips, and I bet that the podcasts alone could fetch a few clicks. They are educational, funny and gives you something to think about. My offer still stands!
Time for some namedropping of random things I’d love to flattr:
Good little puppy
A life more ordinary
Electric
Bound not Gagged
Are vibrators making my clit more sensitive
Our first pegging!
Why would I want these “kind of things” ending up more visible to the world? I don’t think we should be ashamed, I think that talking about it should be awarded, and I believe that an educated world will be a better one. That includes education about sex, sexuality, fetishes and so forth.
